We are Fredrick (Jamie) Harris and Kathleen Trout. We are co-owners of Fletcher, a 4 year old male silver Weimaraner and Willow , 2 year old female Blue Weimaraner.
We both grew up hunting and Kathleen learned archery from Jamie and she fell in love with him and archery. They have been a hunting and outdoor team since.
Fletcher came into the picture in the fall of 2016 as a gift to Kathleen from Jamie for Christmas when they were looking for a hunting buddy to add to their team.
Kathleen wanted a Weimaraner for years and Jamie wanted to surprise her.
Fletcher seemed like a pro at finding shed antlers. He had a thirst for the outdoors and all it had to offer.
Two years later we decided he needed his partner. A potential to pass his genetics and abilities along to a new generation.
Willow was a Christmas/birthday gift as well and seemed to complete their team perfectly. She had a natural nose from day one.
Well as hunting goes, it's called hunting not "killing". We all know that things can happen to ruine a great day of hunting. We want to be there and help you be reunited with your deer.
A trophy deer in front of us, pull the string or trigger and wham the deer is off like a shot and a few yards later it drops....right?
Well, we all know that's not always how it works out. If it did, we wouldn't be in business. We wish it could work out that way for everyone. Even the best hunters have their bad days.
...bottom line we want to make sure you find your deer. We hate seeing so many deer in spring that were left to rot for various reasons. Unable to be found is the biggest reason we know of.
We help you over the phone, with our dogs if needed or send you to another tracker if we are too booked or too far to take it on.
We will chat on the phone to determine the best course of action based on deer shot, deer behavior, what was done after the shot, arrow, blood found, the amount of time lapsed after the shot and weather conditions as well as time of day.
We will do all we can to help you, even if we don't go out. We hope to help you locate your deer without us needing to go out.
If we cannot go out, we will point you in the direction of another tracker(s) nearby that may be able to help. At the very least we will give you advise on how we would proceed if it were our own deer.
Our dogs want to find your deer as much, if not more than us. It's what they live for. Their excitement is contagious!
